Why Malume?
Maluma advantages
Yield-15-30 Ton/hectare:
less alternate bearing than other varieties.
Big fruit size (Larger than Hass):
Small pit (seed)-provides more interior pulp for customers.
Fruit yellowish flash:
once cut, stays green longer time than other varieties that tend to turn brown.
Fruit Skin: rough, bumpy, shinny, turns purple black once ripe.
Fruit flavor & texture: outstanding nutty taste, buttery smooth texture, no fibers.
Fruit ripeness:
once fruit turns black.
Shelf life: longer than other varieties when kept at 6 degrees Celsius.
Tree shape: upright, can be grown as a central leader, suitable for high density orchards.
Fruits are hanging "inside" tree canopy: provide hail and sunburns protection. Strong fruit stipes provide wind protection and less fruit drop.
